Be careful of people who never crossed into a land Be careful of people who never crossed into a land that God called you to live in. - @iammiketodd ✨

Pastor Mike spoke a sermon and a HALF yesterday and took my edges with it!

This week, I need you to:

➡️ Not let anyone's fears cripple your faith
➡️ Be intentional about evaluating what you're hearing...because faith comes by hearing. Watch what you consume, what's on the radio, what's on the TV, what music you're listening to..and make changes where you need to.
➡️ Don't let someone else's experiences shape what your experience COULD be. God's vision for you is just. for. you. If He told you to do it and you would have it, you will.

Remember you have PURPOSE!

ALSO, can we talk about how I took this with my tripod, canon connect app on my phone and my camera?

What are you being intentional about this week? ⬇️

On a scale of 1 to the whole bottle, how many glas On a scale of 1 to the whole bottle, how many glasses of wine are you having tonight? Happy Friday✨

I'm at about...3 and only because my review of the wine tasting we did a few weeks ago is LIVE!

Graham's Port Lodge was perfect for my first introduction to Port wine.

If you like sweet, go for a Ruby. My whisky lovers, grab a Tawny. Either way, there's a taste for everyone.

I had never tried Port wine before coming to Portugal, and I don't even think I had ever heard of it, to be honest. But, now I need it. I didn't think I'd like it...WRONG.

And, bonus...you don't need much. Seriously, it's a wine you sip not chug. Needless to say, I'll be shipping some bottles...I mean cases home in the spring haha.

Have you tried Port wine and if you haven't would you? I bet you say yes after reading my review of Graham's.

Grab a glass of wine...or water and head to the blog now! Link in bio.

"Starting is better than stagnation. I may not kno "Starting is better than stagnation. I may not know everything but I'm learning in the process. I am capable of achieving everything I want. I have impact and people are waiting to be impacted and blessed by me.

It's ok that it's not perfect.
Everyone started somewhere and failure is apart of the journey. I am in control of my thoughts and actions. The ONLY person stopping me, is me." ✨

These sentences were declarations AGAINST negative thoughts that I had been having the past few weeks.

Go back in time with me for a moment. ⬇️

When I got married, I knew that I would be stepping out of the "traditional" work force for this chapter in my life and I was fine with it. But, I also knew I didn't want to lose myself in the wife role and that be the only thing defining me. I needed more.

It's hard figuring out how to start a career or a business when you're thousands of miles away for months at a time.

I wasn't going to do any more long distance just to say I had a job. No ma'am.

I knew that I would figure out what I loved to do and how I could help people and have an impact remotely. My 2nd year overseas, I started teaching English online and fell in love with the students I got to see every day.

As fulfilling as it was, I knew it was temporary. I knew I wasn't going to make a career out of this. I struggled back and forth with wanting to provide for my family and having something that was mine but not really knowing how or what that looked like. Can ya'll relate?

I knew I had skills, knowledge and experience that clients would be willing to pay for, but I wasn't sure in what area.

But, as I start this process of building my own virtual assistance business, I get more and more excited each day at the thought of helping clients with a range of things from social media graphics to Wordpress to travel planning.

And this works for me. And I'm building on new skills every day. And I'm excited. And that's enough for me.

Do what excites you. It doesn't matter how good you are. Do what brings you joy. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Girl, step out your comfort zone. It's past time. Girl, step out your comfort zone. It's past time. ✨

Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary...
But staying in your comfort zone is detrimental.

Let me run that back. I know we've all been there. Wanting to do something, start something, learn something..but imposter syndrome always knows when to pop up like a period on vacation. At the WORST time.

And who needs that type of energy?! Stepping out of your comfort zone could be going on a trip alone, trying a new food, investing in yourself, sliding into the DMs to get your business out there, making a budget and actually sticking to it, or simply SHOWING UP consistently.

For me, consistently showing up and creating content without fear of people not wanting to hear what I have to say, let alone care, is uncomfortable. But then I remind myself that people do care, I am talented, and people want to hear what I have to say.. and I got a lot to say.

Some of your biggest wins are waiting right outside the comfort zone you're letting yourself stay in.

It's past time to step into this wins. It's past time to get uncomfortable. Get comfortable being uncomfortable, and watch God show up and show out.

➡️What does stepping out of your comfort zone look like for you?
